Copper Proofing Parrot Head. Choice of designs to suit your still
From recent feedback
This is one of the best hand-crafted items I have ever bought, better than it looked in the advert and it looked good in the advert. I contacted the seller and asked him if he would make me one with a slight modification, he built it the same day and posted it the same day. You can't ask for more than that. As for after sales faultless. I wish all Ebay sellers whereas courteous and helpful as this guy.
Copper Parrot Heads are primarily used to see in real time the Alcoholic Strength of your distillation as it comes out the still.
After removing the plastic spout, the Parrot Head is placed after the condenser outlet, allowing the distillate to flow through on its way to the collection container. It's handy because the parrot will hold your hydrometer, so you can take real-time readings of the alcohol percentage during the distillation process without having to transfer to a hydrometer jar.
If you intend to use the parrot on a more permanent basis you may wish to cut the outlet pipe to suit and maybe create a way of holding this in place.
If you don't already have one, you have the option to include a Spirit Hydrometer
Also included is a base.
The Air Still stands approx 24.5cm. Not like other short ones on sale. This allows you plenty of room to insert a hydrometer to measure the output as you run it.
The T500 is 36cm tall.
There is an option to purchase a taller one if you require it.
The T500 is primarily designed to be used with a Demijohn and the head of the Parrot will drip directly into it
Also, as all my Parrot Heads are handmade, and may have the odd solder run, or heat blemish. I endeavour to remove any, but some may still remain.
I can adapt these to suit your needs, so if you have any specific requirements, please contact me.
Please note:
The supplied hydrometer is slightly longer, and because of the height of the input tube is limited to fit under the Air still spout, will only read a maximum of around 85%. It will read higher when not in the parrot.
